31 Burnet St, Ballina, is a purpose-built accommodation facility for people with disabilities. The project consists of four self-contained units along with a four-bedroom care house, which included facilities to accommodate a full-time live-in carer. There was extensive planning and design consideration for each element of the project to ensure the buildings best suited the specific needs of the tenants. Provisions were also incorporated into the building structure to allow bed hoists to be retrofitted, if required.
New footpaths were also constructed to both street frontage with Burnet and Ross streets also widened as part of the building works.
